At Skaven Strand Camping we offer comfortable holiday homes in West Jutland with a short distance to Tarm, Skjern and Varde – as well as the many nature experiences in the area around Ringkøbing Fjord. Here you can spend your holiday in safe surroundings, whether you are travelling as a family, couple, surfer or regular guest.
Our campsite is known for its tranquil atmosphere, wide open spaces and proximity to the water. When you choose a holiday home with us, you get access to facilities, activities and a natural environment where both children and adults can thrive.

Holiday home for rent with access to activities
A stay in a holiday home offers freedom and flexibility. You can plan your days at your own pace and combine relaxation with active experiences. The holiday homes are located within a short distance of the fjord, and several of them are located within 1 kilometer of the water.
During your stay you can enjoy, among other things:
- Short distance to beach and possibility of swimming
- Good conditions for surfing and kitesurfing by the fjord
- Access to pool, playground and family-friendly facilities
- Fishing in our own put and take lake
- Quiet surroundings with trails and nature close to the house
As a guest in a cottage, you also have the opportunity to use the campsite’s facilities. This makes the stay attractive for families with children, where the children can play freely while the adults relax.
Holiday home rental for families and active holidaymakers
Our holiday home rental is especially aimed at outdoor tourists, families with children, young surfers and those who want a base close to nature. The area at Skaven Strand is known for its shallow water and stable wind conditions, making it ideal for both beginners and experienced surfers.
At the same time, it is peaceful and uncluttered here. This means that you can spend your holiday in quiet surroundings without traffic and noise – but still have access to experiences and excursion opportunities in the surrounding area.
The houses vary in size, so you can find a solution that suits both small families and larger groups. Many choose to combine their stay with longer weekend trips or week-long stays in the high season.
How much does it cost to rent a summer house?
Prices for renting a holiday home depend on the season, the size of the house and the length of stay. In the high season (typically summer weeks and selected holiday periods) weekly prices are higher than in the pre- and post-season.
Our holiday homes are rented out on a weekly basis from Saturday to Saturday, and we have holiday homes with a minimum of 2 bedrooms.
Electricity is charged according to consumption, and there may be an environmental surcharge per adult. We have ongoing offers outside the high season, and you are always welcome to contact us for current prices and availability.
